Where to find hairspring for Rolex cal. 1570?

The spring of the balance wheel of my DJ 1601 with cal. 1570 is damaged.
To avoid buying a new balance (quite expensive), I am looking for a replacement hair spring. All suggestions on where to find one are much appreciated!

This is the damaged one. It (almost) touches the balance wheel in certain positions.

Summary: I am looking for an original Breguet hairspring for my Rolex Cal 1570 (not looking for the main spring).

Why don't you get a watchmaker to manipulate it? Its a simple enough job.

Place a 'want to buy' ad here and on the vintagerolexforum - good luck.

He is quite experienced with these calibers so I tend to trust his opinion when he says that it will not perform up to scratch.

When I had my red sub serviced, I replaced my whole balance due to a worn balance staff (more time and effort to repair the balance staff than to simply replace the whole balance). I still have my old balance with a perfect hairspring if you wish to consider. My watchmaker detailed that the older hairsprings have a blue tinge like shown below and the newer ones are grey/black. Send me a PM please.

I saw some on the bay for cal 1560 for around $60 new genuine but not sure 1560 & 1570 are exactly the same. You could look into it though & if so go look up 1560 hairspring on the bay.

It is going to be interesting to see what happens as 1570 parts begin to become scarce when you think about how many of these watches are still in service.

Good luck
