Well I can certainly see that large winding crown 'annoying' the skin on one's wrist and or catching on sleeves and such.

That is one design feature of the (last series) EXPII/GMT's - is that the winding crown is just the right size (perhaps even a somewhat diminutive) but since it is used perhaps once a month (if that), the size and shape make for perfect comfort in that regard.

no doubt. they basically ground off the crown guards, added a larger crown and chamfers and upped the price by 150%.

i think it looks cool. but personally i would not pay this kind of money for it.

Do not like... and whoever wrote the piece on the watch nailed the reason why I dislike the 'super case' of the new watches: "the chunky modern Rolex maxi cases have in my humble opinion, lost their eye for detail and harmony,becoming out of proportion..."
