Parcel Pro Insurance for individuals?
I'm planning on selling one or two of my lesser-worn watches to clear space for something new. In the past I've been lucky to either sell through a TS on this forum (he provided a shipping label) or complete the sale locally in person.
My question for those of you who have sold and shipped watches on the forums: how do you insure the shipment? Parcel Pro seems to be the most popular from what I've read. I tried signing up on their website but it looks like you have to be a business. Does anyone know if you can sign up as an individual? |

Call them, you might be able to register over the phone without an EIN. I did so but that was before they were bought by UPS.

If watch is lost or damaged in the mail, would it not be covered by your homeowners insurance ?

Do you know if USPS registered mail is a viable alternative? |

Usps Registered allows for insurance up to $25000 and is the ONLY other way (other than FedEx Parcel Pro) I’d send a high value watch through the mail. Having said that, one of the vintage guys had a watch sent USPS Registered go missing for 3 months (it turned up in the origin post office in a corner of the warehouse, if I recall). But it’s still one of the best options in my opinion. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Awesome, I think I’ll go with USPS registered then! Thanks for the help!
