GMT Master II 16710

First of all, I would like to establish that I am new to the Rolex world as my only watch is The Hulk. I pass by this forum every now and then to learn some more about those wonderful instruments.

I have a query about the several Bezel options on the non ceramic GMT Master II (Black, Pepsi, & Coke).

1- Do you have to buy 3 different Bezels, or only 1 Bezel with 3 different inserts?

2- Does the inserts come from Rolex's AD, or do you buy them from aftermarket places?

3- Prices of inserts, and where you can buy them from?

4- Can you exchange the inserts at home, or do you have to take it to the AD.

Thanks a lot

Each watch comes with one bezel insert
You can find other original rolex bezel inserts from online sellers but there are also many fake.
You can do it yourself by pit a decent watch maker would be advised if you are not good with these types of thing
Cheers

Congrats in advance Mohamed. Regarding no. 4 DO NOT exchange it yourself. I ruined my gmt even after watching videos. Take to an expert.

1- 3 inserts

2- Straight from the RSC

3- Around 50 euro in the RSC. Higher prices in the free market

4- You can do it at home BUT you have to "educate" yourself with posts, videos and on line stuff AND you must me VERY careful when you are doing it.

Good for you. I followed the instruction and took precaution when doing. It just need a slight glissement from non prof. Like me to ruin the watch. I say it doesnt deserve the risk.

Great to see that enybody else use a plastic tool. I would never use metal tool. It alwais marks the bezel or case. I can not imagine, how somebody can ruin the watch with piece of plastic. Maybe the insert, but watch?

The most funy is that you can do it at home when you want
That is why I never stop love this old GMT.

After you do it once, you'll be more comfortable changing the inserts. Then, fuggetaboudit. And if you just can't bring yourself to doing it... don't worry, "I know a guy."
