I was a much bigger fan of Michelsen watches. The proprietor was a lot friendlier and willing to pull out all sorts of watches to check out. While they offer different aesthetics, from a purely buyer standpoint, Michelsen would win my business.

Is sold my vintage DJ last year, and now I'm searching the planet for another. You made the right decision.

Hard to find a black dial in such great condition. I regret selling a lesser watch..

Keep it for the time being. Rethink it in a few months.

Lovely example!

I know this has been asked and answered before, but could someone tell me the correct bracelet for this watch? Were there 2 options? Should I look for the correct vintage bracelet?
It is my understanding that by now it would either be a reproduction or a fake or through the moon pricing as bracelets have not tended to last ?

Excuse the newbie speak...I am still very new to watches

Wow, that's a beautiful DJ, and the case looks unpolished, in the photo anyway. Trust me, you will have a very, very tough time finding another DJ in this condition. It took me a year to find mine. I know vintage DJs are not rare and they're relatively inexpensive by vintage Rolex standards, but the untouched, pristine examples are virtually non-existent. Keep it ... or sell it to me!

I think you might get more offers from this post than your FS post!
What a beautiful example. I wouldn't sell that. You made the right choice taking it down.

Keep it, otherwise I know a home where orphaned watch would be welcomed with open arms.

Thats weird that they used my picture....when you click on it, it brings you to a different watch, different dial. I never really understood Bobs Watches anyway with the "buy one" "sell one"

It seems to suggest generic watch categories not actual watches. Seems like a eird site for such an expensive product.

It could also be that if they found a buyer, they intended to go to eBay and scoop mine. At $3995, its a no brainer since I was asking like $2200.....seems like a site for the uninformed?

In any case its down - I will hang on for now.

Sell it. No matter what value it holds or how nice it looks, if you dont wear it, or dont like it, it's "junk". Sell it and buy something you like...

The iceland watch is very sharp looking, but imho its not an easy watch to wear day-in-day-out...

All the positive encouragement.

I wish I could keep them all but I need the funds. Maybe I will just sell the sub and the omega constellation and try to hang onto this and a couple others

Keep this DJ. Not only it's beautiful and in an amazing condition, it's also your first Rolex, so it adds value to it. I'd personally never sell my first Rolex, and it's in good but not as good condition.
