The Most Beloved Franken Sub Ever?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rolex-Submar...MAAOSwQNRXK~DS
Hey Guys: This sub is posted over on eBay; the day the auction started, over 50 people bid on it! Fake case, repainted dial, color matched hands, mismatched insert, and the the movement is later than the dial.... At least the seller was mostly honest with the description..... I guess if it looks good, it is a great piece of horological history!!

Reported. I don't understand why anyone would bid almost $6000? You can buy a genuine sub! Bizarre.

Not sure one can report it.
Its basically a "franken" Rolex, and the seller admits that, but movement and dial are Rolex, albeit the dial has been redone, which seller admits. What exactly are you reporting - its not counterfeit or fake, and seller has stated all in description. Its no worse (or better) than those "franken" pieces from Ukraine! I have not yet reported it. |
