I'm on the "list" with my AD. I guess I'm not VIP enough to be number one or be told exactly where I am. But I have faith!

The AD I deal with a province over has 20 people on the new GMT list already. That was around 10 AM this morning.

GMT and the so-called list...

I turned down the numero uno GMT that arrives at my AD right before 9am when I received the phone call...just to go another direction...

Again. No lists - just rapport, friendship and a long history with an AD. They knew who was going to be offered the first few of any new release before it was even announced.

Just my .02

I'm on a couple of lists. Both ADs were very polite. No promises of when this year but hopefully by the end of the year or early next year. I don't expect Daytona wait times. GMTs were never limited to those extremes and many might not even like the watch in person and pass or just never pick it up.

I also question the legitimacy of the lists. I was at my AD today, talking about a number of things, and she asked me "Don't you want a Daytona?" Making reference that I'd bought several pieces from them before. She also said they get calls all the time asking, but they won't sell to them. She implied that she could get me one. Incidentally, I'm not in the market for a Daytona, so I didn't waste her time. So what does it mean?

I'm not sure there is a list. I know that if I cared for a gmt or Daytona I could have one soon by just calling. I've always dealt with one guy. I had a BLNR within days. Was going to a guy in Miami but ended up with me in Orlando. It's about relationships. He got me all the hot watches within days.

I am still newish to this, but have worked hard with my AD over the past four years to build a relationship with them. I've bought all my Rolex there, even when I could have bought at a lower price from a grey dealer; I did this to make sure that they would help get me the hard to get pieces when needed.

I have a friend who shops around and always buys the cheapest price, and then moans that he can't get on a list with an AD for a new hard to get piece.

I got in touch with my AD and he said “there are new models?” Hahaha
Actually he was very nice about it. If I want, I can come look at the piece as they are going to his VIP customers. J/K

I am not completely sold on the Pepsi. I am still holding out for the Daytona. He told me that he hasn’t been allocated a Daytona but i would be called when he does. There is hope!

I exchanged texts yesterday with my AD ahead of the announcement, offered to give a deposit and he said not necessary. His words were I will place an order for you as soon as we can. Expect delivery around Aug/Sept, might be earlier if they start arriving in May but given current Rolex experience, not likely.

No doubt my man. You should definitely be in the position of them calling you instead after these years of patronage. I look forward to your incomings on all brands.

Two years out and your AD hasn't been allocated a Daytona in SS yet?

Called the first thing in the morning. First AD told me they will allocate the new GMT to their VIP customers only at this time. Didn’t put me on the list. Second AD lied and said the list is already closed. BS , I called the first thing/ I said I have bought Rolex from them before. She said I can’t be on list. FMD- gave poor reviews on google. Not on any list and no change of getting these at any time .

Probably nothing - just small talk? Im still waiting for my 2016 Daytona..perhaps my AD is not a top tier one lol. And yes, I have bought six Rolexes from them.
