Look at the BLNR, about 4.5 "pips' between the middle of the "12" and the edge of the lug:
Good comparison. The scale of the photo is throwing people off - the case has clearly been slimed down in the lug department. Not majorly - but it has reduced the “blockiness” and flows into the bracelet much better.

Perhaps to your eyes. To mine, the current BLNR case flows much nicer.

I think the steel pepsi will also be available with oyster one day when the LN and BLNR are replace by new models. So for now they made the lugs different so it doesn't fit an existing oyster bracelet.
Don't think all steel GMT's from now on will only be available with jubilee bracelets. They are just waiting for the old stock of WG BLRO's with oyster bracelets to be sold...

Cheers

new case

do you think that the rose-gold model also has slimmer lugs? To my eye, the pepsi looks slimmer because the bracelet got wider.

In the new GMT SS I see is the longer lungs than in the previous GMT either in the new DeepSea.
That is, I do not see them thinner but longer.

Doubt that. They may as well screw the WG owners all the way. I’m sure some enterprising chaps will show up here in a few months with an oyster bracelet SS BLRO.

Oyster probably not swappable because the new end links on the jubilee are 21mm (just a guess). Then as more new ss gmts and subs are released over the years with 21mm ouster bracelets they will be swappable

Nope. Sorry. I still cannot see any difference.

We need Larry to do one of his drawings...the kind he did to show the asymmetrical lugs of the Sub - i.e. thinner on the crown side.

Definitely you will never all be happy, I have read for months in this forum that you all wanted a Rolex GMT with PEPSI bezel of STEEL and with the slimmer lungs. You are pleased and now are upset because is not oyster band jejejje. OMG!

Might be a little different, but not enough to really make a difference to me. I think I might be sticking with the BLNR. From the Basel photos, the Red still does not look as good as the 16710 Pepsi's to me.

I’m pretty sure more people would be happy if it was compatible with both bracelets.

I suspect the images on the website are computer generated graphics and may not be exactly the same proportions as the production piece. It could be that the redesigned lugs accomplishes a thinner look by enlarging the interhorn width. This would enlarge the endlinks beyond the current 20 mm for the new GMT case and explain why the bracelet is not interchangeable with the current model GMT.

IMO the new lugs have a greater contour and seem to be slightly longer.

Bingo!! My thoughts exactly. It would make the lugs slightly thinner and look longer and explain why the bracelet isn't interchangeable.

I cannot see any difference looking top down at the lugs. Perhaps the sides are sloped differently but it is subtle... hopefully this animates... if not just drag it off and you can compare the two...

Do you think the jubilee bracelet will come with an option with reagard to the lock?

I personally prefer the crown lock more than the oyster claps.

Which lock do you prefer?

Better find you a strap or rubber option cause it’s not happening, the oyster bracelet won’t fit. The lugs have been redesigned as well as that jubilee bracelet... SS owners are stuck with the jubilee
