Yes. New one is >$40k...no additional options for those without a huge bankroll to go

It will push both 5167 and 5164 up.

Orange is a divisive colour, esp on a conservative PP, so I think the price of others go up.

prices are trending up, but i dont think the aqua chrono is the cause. The 5168G was not the reason the 5167 has been climbing last year either.

IMO its finding a cause in the wrong place. The aqua is finally a super popular watch, if its organic or because of the nautilus scarcity is open to debate but the line is popular.

i agree on prices of 5167 and 5164. most, including myself, may prefer the original color scheme and size

Finally getting its due respect. AFAIK, dealers still get more steel 5167's yearly than 5711 but that may also be changing causing the 5167 price rise.

The size to me is a big issue. I found the 5168 very large and this chrono is basically the same size. I prefer the aqua at 40mm which is large enough.

The beauty of the Aquanaut is that it is a sports watch with dress watch feel and dimensions.... Short of the 5711 it could be the ultimate "all around watch" although I think it is a little to dressy for a tee shirt and shorts.

The watch is way overdue for the respect it is finally getting. I think it is a great watch and every bit as good as the 5711 except the prices are not laughably inflated.....

I'm not a fan at all of the 5711 so I agree the aqua is great. IMO, it is the ultimate all around watch with the tropical strap.

Agree, although I have to think PP is trying to attract a newer / younger crowd. 42.2mm, orange, rubber strap...

Definitely so. And also a good idea to do it with the Aqua

I think its GREAT that they branched out with this one actually...it's basically the only watch they have with color short of the 5168...but that's barely "color" as far as color in the watchword goes.

Future and Migos have a lot to answer for, taking TS out to all those hip hop clubs.

I think we will see the 5167 push to 30k VERY shortly... NOW, zero alternative if you want to get in the BUDGET range of Patek. Lol.

I felt like I made out like a bandit selling my not-mint 5167 in December for 19K USD, after I had only picked it up for 16K in August. Now I'm biting my lip - sold it too early!

So will Patek increase ?

So do we think Patek will put up their retail price?

They must know the 5167A is a ‘snip’ at 14500 (GBP) but there is no sign yet of an increase and the logical time to have done it would have been when they released the Aquanauts and price points?

At the current price I think I will try and buy another one!!

Or your 5711/1A white dial at 20K. And years back, my blue dialed 15300 for $6,250.

if the chrono is super popular and people start selling their 67's and 64's then maybe prices go down with the extra secondary market inventory. Who knows. I dont know if both can co exist in one collection. Im attached to my 64 but if i wasn't it would be an easy one to sell.

If there are a lot of people with that mindset then this could very easily go the other way.
