Both stunning options. Try them on, which one do you like best?

DJ, no question. That one would look uber-cool on a man as well as a woman (as in : I don't give a fig for what anyone thinks).

The Daytona is more striking and and stands out way more. I like big watches and so I have no qualms about the size of it. My wedding/ engagement rings are yellow gold so it matches well with that.

The DJ is more subtle, rose gold suits my skin tone and it looks elegant - would look prettier up close but not as much of a statement for every day.

I think they're both perfect as day/ night watches. They're both stunning in different ways. I can't really go wrong with either.

Don't even question it, Daytona. Best look for a woman along with the Day-Date.

My wife settled on a yellow gold Datejust with the President bracelet and diamond bezel. It's stunning.

I would not advise my wife to buy the Daytona. There are a lot of big costume watches that can be put away when the big watch/female fad passes rather than spend a lot of money on a Daytona. I think the flowered Datejust is a tad too over the top. That watch with a more subtle appearance looks tasteful and doesn't draw attention away from the wearer.

That floral Rolex, to me, is meant for rich family girl that daddy bought for her before 18.
I wish my daddy had bought me a Rolex before I was 18, but alas that didn't happen! I'm now 44 and totally fine with being a girly girl. But thanks for your opinion.

I'm going to get him a Submariner at some point. He was a navy diver and used to own one but it got stolen - so that's on our wish list too.

Since you said you are able to get both, then do it. However, if you want to save some money, you could just get a Stainless Steel Daytona and get that 2 tone pink gold floral datejust.

As I'd tell my wife, "buy whatever makes you happy... as long as it's not another purse or duvet cover."

Yes. White dial. Non ceramic bezel. Gorgeous on a lady's wrist.

Having fund for both, I would suggest buy the all gold Daytona. One is better than these two.

LOL. That is why I said its my opinion. I often don't tell people about it because it is kinda mean to say out loud but my mind can't stop thinking about it that way. Just let you know they are people like me out there. if my opinion bother you, it will be easier to help you make a selection.

I actually agree with this. The daytona also definitely wears closer to a 38mm than a 40...they look AWESOME on a woman's wrist. They look good on anyones wrist for the most part unless they have a 7.5 inch or more wrist IMHO.
