The cruel thing is, they made it! The SD4K, as soon as I saw it I thought it was perfect and thought I’d have it one day. Then they discontinued it and now I can’t afford the dang thing! My SubC will do though! Fat lugs and all!

I would love to see a white ceramic submariner and a Datejust 41 with the Rolex green dial.

Sadly, I think about this more often than is likely healthy. Probably sacrilege to the true Rolex aficionados, but:

1. Ceramic sub date, 22mm bracelet (for thinner lugs but same-sized case), updated movement, and red Submariner text.

2. SS BLRO on an oyster bracelet

3. White dial, larger 42mm Daytona with an actual date but no cyclops

Maybe #2 is possible at some point...the rest are probably fantasy.

I'd love to be able to customize the dial from Rolex website to my heart's content. I'd keep the Rolex log on there of course

That’s a great question. I want a modern red sub with vintage proportions. I want the case to be 39mm, vintage lugs, matte dial, maybe ceramic insert.

36mm Oyster Perpetual, lumed 3/6/9 numerals, blue or green dial with the same opaline look and texture of the new white dial.

I want a SS SkyD same as current 42mm but only 12.5mm height. Blue dial.

I want a SS Daytona with ceramic bezel at 41 or 42mm. Black dial.

I want a SS SubC with red SUBMARINER lettering.

I want to be able to buy all the above directly from Rolex online!

Very simple. I'd want a 6-digit sub with 5-digit dimensions. Hold the date.

Pepsi with clasp resembling that of a soda can tab. Not sure if it will be appealing to the eyes but I am sure it will be on whole different league of cool.

Funny, I've been thinking of starting a similar thread! I want a 44mm SS BLRO with a blue dial on a 22mm jubilee

My wish list:
  1. 41mm RG root beer GMT with a root beer/brown 'nipple' dial, slim lugs, and jubilee bracelet.
  2. The current Milgauss (maybe a bit thinner), but with a rotating bezel (like the original), jubilee bracelet option, and a maybe a date (date is not a must have).
  3. 39 or 40mm OysterQuartz. Just like the original, but larger.
  4. Date on the Daytona and move the sub dials back down to line up like the Zenith models.

And ...

Easy one. A sub with the case of the YM 40. Or basically a YM 40 with black ceramic bezel, black dial and a glidelock clasp. And Rolex, if you're reading this, please make it 39mm instead of 40mm. Thanks ;)

- 38mm GMT Pepsi, ceramic crown with 5-digit fonts, maxi dial, 5-digit case, no lug holes, 70h movement, no wart.

- 38mm Sub Date Panda, maxi dial, 5-digit case, no lug holes, 70h movement, no wart.

DaytonaC white with silver subdials and black minute/hour hands (and a pop of racing red on subdial hands) to increase contrast. Daytona date would be sweet too but that’s unlikely to ever happen.

Yachtmaster 40 with colors like the 44. So blue bezel, white dial, red seconds hand. Do the case in white gold or platinum.

Fluted bezel or some other unique bezel on platinum day date

I'd ask them to keep making everything they do now but without the effing cyclops. Ha!

But in all seriousness, I'd say a remake of the 6538 with a jubilee bracelet and maybe a slightly smaller 39mm case.

I am mildly surprised that Rolex doesn’t have a watch for those often in the field on operational work, a sort of ‘FIELDMASTER’ if you like. It would be:
1. ‘no frills’, dispensing with the date and 24-hour hand (in over 40 years wearing my Explorer II, I hardly ever referred to either of them)
2. tough and as good-looking as the other sports watches
3. make the dial a dark olive green and have white markings and numerals (dark olive green) on a s/s bezel to indicate the p.m time zone; 13, 14, and so on through to 24.
4. make the hour and minute-hands in baton-design in orange with a lume-strip, the second-hand in white
5. body as 1655 model at 40 mm, bracelet as 216570 model (E2s)
6. dial markings as the old 1655 less the extra digits
7. water-tight as 216570.
A winner using the E2 as the base-plate! I’d do a mock-up but my laptop won’t allow for this.

What's wrong with the Mercedes hands ? I find them more legible than the bâtons.

You could download Paint.net for a crude collage or the full-fledged GIMP.

A WG Daytona with date and black baguette bezel and indices and red sweep hand. Of course then affording it would be another matter entirely.

TRF nicknamers will dub it “Zorro the gay blade”. Lol

If you could ask Rolex to make you a custom watch, what would it be?

A modern titanium Mill-Sub, in 42mm, w/ a red loom triangle.
Or a gold (no date) bluesy, or Hulk ( matte dial) .
