Seamaster 300 MC

One of the few watches I own that actually looks better in the flesh than the official brochure pics..

Omega really did an excellent job with this model. Classic watch which can easily be dressed up or down. Nice choice!

Great watch. I have always wanted one but get caught up with the Submariner. Next time.

It really does. A colleague came in wearing one, and I was pleased to see how great it looks on the wrist. Enjoy it!

Does anyone have any thoughts on how it compares/contrasts with the Seamaster 300LE60 (Trilogy)?

Personally not had chance to do a like for like or side by side comparison, but must admit I was a little surprised when Omega announced the LE60 version.
I was also a bit disappointed as well if I'm honest as I thought it took the limelight away a little from the MC version.

I suspect the LE60 uses the same case as the MC300. The official measurements suggest otherwise: the MC300 is officially 41mm, whereas the LE60 is 39mm. However, on the MC300, the bezel is dead on at 41mm, and as a simple glance tells you, the bezel overhangs the edges of the case. The LE60 bezel is flush with the case. Using a caliper to measure the MC300 case from the bottom (easier said than done) reveals the case is actually 39mm.

ETA: I may have spoken too soon. According to Omega, the distance between the lugs on the MC300 is 21mm (which I've confirmed with my own measurement). They say the lug span on the LE60 is 19mm. If that's true, obviously it's not the same case, although I find it odd that they would alter the lug dimensions on a case that has the same diameter. Does anyone have access to an LE60 and a caliper?
