1680 rolexsub service replacemnt part?
ok guys really need your help on this one...
I sent my 1978 sub into rolex for service as stated in my previous post.. The only thing i told rolex i want them to replace were the end pieces on the bracelet. What I wanted to know is, will the new end pieces that rolex is going to replace be exactly the same as the original older ones? are they updated in any way? if so then I will tell them i no longer want the end pieces replaced and to leave the old ones... around the net i am seeing end pieces on bracelets, they are almost the same except there are now notches cut out on the underside of the metal flap that fold onto the case. seems they put the notches there to access the spring bars easier? in any case I hope someone can answer this for sure! |

to better explain, on the newer end pieces that rolex will replace it with, will they have little cut outs on the side of the "bat wings"?
Will it hurt the value? should i just have them leave on the older ones instead of replacing the end pieces with new parts? |

I have a set of 580's with the notch to remove spring bar. Are these original Rolex? Thanks
