JLC bracelet question
Hello everyone! I'm hoping to get a little help from the technical experts here on TRF. I own a JLC 1958 Geophysic which has 20mm lugs. The watch only was issued on a leather strap. However I'm a fan of metal bands. I came across a 20mm OEM steel band that was made for a Master Control model and wondering if that would fit on my watch?
I've included a picture in the event that helps. Any thoughts or suggestions would be much appreciated. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

JLC 1958 Geophysic - the re-issue or the original?
I have an original and I am 99% sure this one won't fit (though I don't have the bracelet on hand). I would also highly doubt it would fit the modern one. Why don't you just try it? |

I would contact JLC directly and ask. A lot of brands make it tough to do what you're wanting to do because even though the width is equal, they'll have subtle differences with endpiece on the bracelet, or where holes for springbars are located on one case versus another to basically make it impossible to put bracelets or straps on cases that are "supposed" to have that. Basically the brands don't like you being able to essentially customize the watch. Good Luck!
