Better than a SS Daytona?

I think so. Love the details:
Sand blasted off white dial
Red chrono hand
Black grid and pulsation counter
Perforated leather strap (not to mention stitching)
Stunner really
And while no longer available, my AD was able to secure a NOS for me

These are seriously the "features" you are boasting about?

What the heck is a "Sand blasted off white dial"?

All the scorn from the fanbois. Then again, this is a Rolex forum, so not surprising.

I like this better than the Daytona all day long!

I put a perforated strap on my D500, looked good and cost me £25.

I'm seriously warming to the Omega brand again and this white dial version is very classy, In the current climate of Rolex short supply and sky high grey prices I'm looking to buy another Omega soon.

Better than a SS Daytona?

Is that the omega Oreo?

I’m personally not a fan but that’s just me.

Come on this is a Rolex Forum.
It's not better here and never will be on a Rolex Forum.
That said it is a very nice piece.
They will sell more of them now because of the Rolex shortage.

Never.

Try fixing the crown tube when it wears out. Not to mention it does not look like the above.

Daytona wins every time. Fanboi? Yep!

Better? No. Different? Yes. Worth talking about it? Sure. But not really worth pinning them against each other.

Better can mean different things to the owner. The Daytona is using a old solid movement but nothing to go crazy about in today’s movements. In the top tier level Omega does make better chronograph movements than what is in the current Daytona. If you value a more advanced movement is another thing in your watch. There is no wrong answers here especially with the two brands mentioned.

To the op: making that statement/question here is like going to the opposing college footballs student section and saying your team is better.

I love Omega but this isn’t a fair comparison. Better value? Maybe.

Be careful not to scratch those two nice watches. The crown can work wonders on an abutting case of another watch.

I don’t know much about Omega but does the movement have a column wheel with vertical clutch? For me, that is what I look for in a good chrono movement. I would pick the Daytona over this Omega since I find the movement reliable and love the aesthetics.

Don’t get me wrong, your Omega is a very nice watch!

I was looking for this piece for a week now - it is sold out in all OMEGA ADs - CK2998

The bezel is ceramic too

This OMEGA is a at most a "dessert" - Daytona is still the crown jewel
