Definitely the Sky Dweller, with it’s complication, size and the beautiful fluted bezel it’s in a different league in my opinion

Can you go to a grey and try them both on? If you can pull off the Sky Dweller then that’s a very nice watch.

Pepsi for me actually.
Whilst I do like the SkyD, the size and non fliplock on clasp put me off. Plus at a glance it looks like a swollen datejust on oyster. The Pepsi is superbly comfortable on its jubilee bracelet and I love the colours. |

Hard choice. I have both and I feel the SkyD is more special with the innovative AC + GMT function whilst the Pepsi is more wearable and robust for daily use.

I chose the BLRO for a reason. It fits my aesthetic taste much better and at 40mm diameter and 48mm lug to lug it fits me like a glove. I will say that it would have been nice if the SkyDweller would fit me just as well.

I chose the black SS Sky Dweller.
The more you look at the functionality and the design, the more clever it seems. It's on the bigger side for a Rolex but it's not a big watch. The complications and design layout encompass features of both the Professional and Classic range, which makes it a bit of a curio. But it's not for everybody, nothing is. A GMT Master will suit other people's tastes better. You will end up with a superb watch that will be a joy to own whichever way you go. You can't lose. I also ended up with a white TT Sky Dweller. This one from my AD, for which I paid less than the market value of my SS one. I also have the SS BLRO on order. It's a watch I want to own and enjoy, which will round off the Rolex part my collection nicely. Like the TT Sky Dweller, I won't pay over MSRP for it, which suggests correctly that if I could only keep one of the three it would be the SS Sky Dweller. If I could only keep one Rolex it would be something else. |

I have a small 6.5in wrist. I was worried about the thicker skydweller case but it’s a non issue. Both great, skydweller is my current favorite

I own all three of the SS Sky-Dwellers and the BLRO and enjoy them very much. They are completely different watches in wear and appearance. If I could only have one it would be the white dial Sky-Dweller as the color works with everything and I have a lot of black dial watches. The BLRO really stands out with the colors and the Jubilee bracelet. No bad choice here, only options.

I owned the SkyDweller for six months, I just could not get in to it. It is a fantastic watch, but it wore very big and very...”tall” on my wrist. I found the dial to be very busy and difficult to tell the time at a glance, with my old eyes I had to put on glasses just to see the second time zone, and it just felt a big.... Much. I went to the new Sub, but would take a GMT any day. The Mercedes hands are easy to read at a glance, the 24 hour hand as well.
Whichever you chose wear it in good health! |

Both are fantastic and they are different watches. Hard choice but if need to choose I would take the SkyD which I find very interesting with its complications and bold design which is very much untraditionally Rolex.

My mind whispers SkyD because of its mechanical complication, but my heart screams BLRO because it is just plain cool.

Although I can appreciate the Sky-D calendar complication, I agree with Paul that the 24 hour subdial is too small to be read at a glance (for my 78 year old eyes, anyway). Also, the case thickness would be cumbersome for me.
I'd pick the BLRO.
