Year of this Seamaster?
Hello,
I've been looking for a birth-year watch and noticed this Omega which seems to look nice. It looks genuine I guess, any thoughts? The seller says it's from 1979. Does anyone here agree?? Just want to be sure, and value any opinions. Thanks |

Omega are pretty good with their Serial No's.
Get the No. and you should be able to date it within reason. And to go to extreme, once you have the watch you can get a certificate from Omega called "Extract from the Archives' which will give you the exact day of manufacture. |

Thanks for your response. So if I get the serial from the seller how do I verify? I need to act quickly as the listing is over today!
Thank you. |

Just Google "Omega Serial Numbers" you will get a number of sites, you can work out an approximate from there.
It's a bit of a gamble, accuracy can be +/- a year or so, the sites vary but you should get close with a bit of research. Good luck. |
