We are in the same camp! Could see more than 15%, even 20% by the time it is over. Ready and waiting...

As long as the volatility is up, I'm happy. I can trade that. Couldn't trade that nowhere nonsense.

Many have waiting for a downturn for the past couple months. I was, just not sure what would snap people into a downturn so I pulled out 2 weeks ago.
Political news wasn't reacting very quickly in the market this last quarter and many knew it was just a matter of time till correction took place.
The VIX is up 46% today !!!

Got tired of messing with penny stocks and hoping for a grand slam with one of them, sold off everything and put a nice amount into $AAPL.

Bought more today. No brainer that this stock will be at least $175/180 EOY.

not as bad as his usury loans that are allowed by law loop holes. small business loans where they direct debit the bank account of the business and charge short term rates, which if annualized are 60-100% of the principal.

but hey, you dont have to deal with a bank at least right!

Thing is, that type of correction barely takes you back to last fall. I think the big clean out (until next recession) was the Jan/Feb '16 1820 S&P levels...came after a year of brutality in lots of sectors. Algos don't allow inefficiencies to last long anymore...

Two types of advice I never give. Relationship and financial.

I'm a lifelong bachelor so I know nothing about a successful marriage and..

I have been expecting a huge catostrophic crash ( not correction ) in the market.

So what do I know. Be careful out there though folks.

Me too. It's hard to watch and miss out on the recent gains.

OK, maybe not catastrophic, but huge.

I hear ya. I can miss out though and sleep at night. . I invest monthly (dollar cost average I guess it is called) but it's long term money. I'm not trying to time the market.

Nothing that is going to be counted on to eat next year.

Again what do I know..

Diversify at this point all though please because I think we are due.

Chaps

I have done very well in investing in various things and I have one simple golden rule - only a mug puts all of his eggs in one basket.

Buy property, shares, trackers, gold, short term bonds and cash etc. Some will go up and some will go down but in the long term it always goes up overall.

People who sink everything into the one product often end up jumping off the top of a building.

Regards

Mick

Agreed.

I'm the picture of diversification.

Cash. Gold. Big, mid and small cap , emerging market, international , dividend , S&P , bond, treasuries and REITS in Vanguard. Something goes up. Something goes down. I ride the buffalo. Long term.

oh and a NOS 16610LV that's is doing ok.

And they will no worry ,model 3 is the best EV available on the market for the price point.

Well I am not a buyer of the stock right now because it still is an IF, not when situation that they can deliver what they are promising.

New car, new production line, new parts, new manufacturer, basically everything needs to go without a hitch and any hiccup you'll see in the price before you hear in the news.

Not saying it won't happen. Hopefully it does.
