1936 Rolex 1400 in 14kt Gold

This one is interesting because it's so early and all 14kt gold. I got it at a local pawn shop about 6 years ago for $300. It fascinated me. It was on its way to be melted. It's just a little 1400, but the way it was done up during the great depression was amazing. The gold is worth what I paid. . .runs good too and easy to service. Sort of an historic piece I guess.

Yes a great cocktail style watch but afraid in today's market worth little more than the gold metal scrap value, its a shame but these types of watches are completely now out of fashion.

Nice watch but very much doubt it is 1930s. Dial and movement suggest early 1960s or so to me. Are you sure there isn't a number missing from the end of the serial?

Seems very 60's to me as well, the bracelet is pretty neat, it's a shame so many of these end up in the melting pot
