Favorite musician who has passed?

There seems to be so many great musicians and artists who have passed way too young. The list is very long and hard to pick just one.

For me, I grew up with the Beatles. I would have to put John Lennon as one on the top of my list.

Who would be on the top of yours'?

Have often wondered if the meandering track of rock and roll in the pre-Beatles 60's, would have been decidedly different if Buddy Holly hadn't died so young. He was such a creative force.

There have been so many recently, it reminds me of the late Sixties and early Seventies when so many were dying young.

Recently, the one that struck me the most was the passing of Leonard Cohen.
