Damn. Because of this site, I have recently come into ownership of my first fountain pen, a rose TWSBI 580 AL, followed shortly after by a Karas Kustom Ink in bronze (almost too heavy), and another Ink in blue anodized aluminum. Of course, the purchase of typical accessories such as inkwells and ink soon followed.

Not to mention a few hours wasted scouring various pen sites online.

Well, I have already discovered that I like writing with these pens, which also fits in nicely with the journal I recently started keeping.

Best start planning storage for 100 pens now. I give it a couple years and you’ll be there! Pens have been the most addictive hobby I’ve ever had! Enablers everywhere and great pens at all price points! Even if you’ve had a bad month and you’re living off of Ramen noodles, there’s a million excellent Jinhao’s out there at $5 a shot! No escape! Needless to say, I have a solid compliment of Jinhao’s in my collection 👍

Esterbrook J

Today I’m using a Vintage (late 40s or 50s) Esterbrook J that once belonged to Bell Systems. Inexpensive low quality pen that writes “ok”, but I’ve always loved Art Deco styling.

Filled with Mont Blanc lavender.

I’m new to the Rolex Forum. I have never owned a Rolex before, so I wasn’t sure how I could contribute. However, I’m quite certain I have something to offer on writing instruments! Today I’m using my Bexley Posideon Magnum II, with Platinum’s sepia ink. It’s been my first sepia color, and I dig it so far.

Edit- Ah dang, I guess y’all will have to take my word for it. I’ve got to hit 10 posts before posting images.

Hey Char! Welcome to the forums!

Is you Bexley something like this? Really like my Bexley! Hard to beat for the money.

Yes sir! That is the EXACT one I was referencing. Hahaha. I also have a few other Bexleys. I have a "bronze swirl" Bexley Prometheus, and a red/black ebonite Bexley Prometheus.

Some other pens in my collection include a few Lamy 2000's (fine/medium), a Platinum President (broad), Sailor 1911 Standard (fine-medium, music), and a Platinum 3776 (broad). I have a few other pens laying around here, but nothing too remarkable. I know Pelikan and Montblanc are regarded as some of the finest pens, but the Japanese make some stellar nibs as well!

There are lots of companies that make pens equal to or even better than those from Montblanc and Pelikan.

Used this one today!

MB pens are typically lovely, but out of the box sorry writers. This one is no exception.

Gotta send it to a nibmeister for review and some work.

MB Tropical Brown.
