Help deciding what the next one should be
Ok so you all got me hooked on FP. I got the inch and started out slow.
I am ready to purchase the next one. I use them all so nothing that I have to baby. This is the collection so far and what I like/hate about them. All so far are standard fine nib. Sailor Pro Gear slim -https://www.nibs.com/pens/sailor/sailor-pro-gear-slim-black-silver. First one I got. love the way it writes, like the filling but this is too small. I actually thought it was full size when ordering. Monteverde Impressa 29870 -http://www.monteverdepens.com/impressa_new.html. LOOKS awesome, writes only ok and the filling system is good. Get what you pay for I guess, it was cheap. Visconti Race Tech - https://www.penchalet.com/fine_pens/...ntain_pen.html. Best looking. Love the racing theme look. Best writing but a little heavy in liquid released for a Fine. My favorite filling system for ease, least mess etc. TWSBI VAC700R - https://www.twsbi.com/collections/fo...0-fountain-pen. This pen was a favorite for daily use. The filling of this pen was the worst I have every experienced and never got it right. Pen cap broke so it is in the grave. I look forward to hearing everyones thought and recommendations. |

If you like Sailor and the Pro Gear line then why not a Pro Gear or KoP Pro Gear?

This is why my Sailor doesn't get used. It is tiny. I like the size of the Visconti next to it.
I thought slim just meant the width of the pen, but much to my surprise when I got it, it was tiny. image1-4.jpg |

I know they aren't coveted by most, but I really love the modern parker centennials. I have a few and they are really nice.
One of the prides of my litter is a pelikan m1005 demonstrator. It's huge and lovely. It's getting pretty pricey though. The 200 demonstrator is nice too, but don't get the fine point. I have a bunch of vintage pens, but rarely use them. |

Try a Montblanc Traveller... Best of both worlds.
I have two and they are as good as any in my collections. You can use cartridges and fill them with a 2 dollar syringe. Love it!
