No, I do not. Actually, I've only lived here for 4 years now, so I still don't know a lot of people. My wife is really good at making friends and meeting new people, but I'm not as good as her at that.

He was a friend of mine many years ago who was a writer and also wrote a few screenplays that got made into movies. He was in LA in the late 80s and moved back to St Augustine.

It was a fabulous night with friends. The breakfast/ brunch here was LEGENDARY! And we’re just working it from here. We got just over 6” of rain. Had to go out a few hours ago and release more pool water. Nobody here has to work…we’re all retired and most of our friends and my husband are chefs. We’re letting the party roll until we have to leave Friday am…and the party may roll after that!!

That’s what I thought my whole life, until being lucky to have survived one a few years back. Mother Nature is no joke.

I'm on a high floor, with floor-to-ceiling windows, facing a Super Typhoon arriving in the next few hours, with two newly-fostered homeless dogs that are already pretty nervous. Could be the biggest in my 35 years here. Should be a fun night. Wish us luck!

Look after those dogs they rely on you.
