Czapek Antarctique - Salmon or Glacier Blue

I’ve got this lovely watch on order for 2023. The limited edition 40.5mm salmon dial sold out quickly but in the soon to be released 38.5mm dial, both the salmon and glacier blue will be non-limited (I think!).
Therefore I’m interested in people’s thoughts on the preferred dial colour

I think the blue is outstanding...just personal preference.

Czapek Antarctique - Salmon or Glacier Blue

I'd go with the salmon. It's more unique and since it was limited in the larger case size it will get some shine on it.

Both are beautiful and of all of the options I actually prefer the white dial.

There are a lot of people subscribed to the czapek thread in the Rolex forum. I would suggest you post your question there as you may get a lot more responses to your request.
This is the title

Even though salmon dials are all the rage, I prefer the blue dial, so much nicer.

Is the 38.5mm confirmed? Source? Can you share a link? Salmon on a 38.5mm watch would be awesome!

I’d probably buy the blue, but wish I’d had bought the salmon.

Honestly, love them both, and I know that I'd buy the Glacier because the salmon would look pants against my skin...

but I chose the Salmon ;)

Salmon dials just aren't my thing so I'd choose the glacier blue in this "pick-em"

Still think the black dial with red accents looks best

Have a ton of blue dials, so choose Sand / Salmon.

So in my case....

Imho the Monochome white is the way to go (for timepiece band-whores like me). :)

Yes, i just called myself a wh... and darn proud of it

To me, the warmer aesthetics of the salmon dial go better with the bracelet (it's actually the first version of the Czapek I imagined myself happily wearing). The blue just feels a bit cold and doesn't blend well with the rest of the package. IMHO of course.

It’s interesting for me to hear your perspective because I picked the Glacier Blue dial for exactly the opposite reason! I felt that the cooler aesthetic better fits the identity of the Antarctique which was inspired by a trip to Antarctica.

Just goes to show how offering multiple options is always a good idea to appeal to more people.

On this I have a different view … to me the proposed colors / versions may now have become too much for a high end product like Antarctique which is not a fashion gadget.
I know that I may be extreme … but on such segment I like slowness, heritage, selected versions and very rationalized new launches of colors, variants etc …

Well, these two colors (ice blue and salmon) are arguably more classic than the Fratello version or Czapek's burgundy version.

Sure. Mine is a general consideration, not color specific. If you sum up all the continuative colors of Antarctique, plus the ones of the LE and also the ones of the SE … the number gets quite significant

In the end I’ve decided to go for the Salmon. Having seen some side by side wrist shots I’ve decided it’s more a versatile colour for me.
