Icon4 BLIZZARD Warning! 10 to 12 FEET of Snow Possible Next Few Days!

Arrived in Mammoth, CA late Thursday 1:00 AM. Hit the road earl to take the weather risks out of the drive from San Diego, CA. We will hunker down for a few days and get out on the mountain to take advantage of the fresh Powder as soon as we can!

This could be the Largest amount of snow fall over a three day period, Ever in California! I'll post some picture of the snow fall and updates on what's going on here. Stay Tuned...

A blizzard warning is in effect in California as a new storm system moves into the mountains with potential to deliver more than 10 feet of snow.

The heavy snow will begin blasting California's Sierra Nevada mountains Thursday afternoon and evening, and will continue into the weekend. Up to 12 feet of snow is possible. Gusty winds could reach 80 mph, causing dangerous whiteout conditions on the road.

Wow, be careful out there everyone. The roads will be treacherous!

They haven't seen snow like this in the Donner Pass area since . . . . . . . well, let's just say it's been a while.

One time I went up with a buddy to Kirkwood, we left at maybe 4am and it was still snowing but as we got up there it had just stopped. Had about 2’ of fresh powder right when the resort opened. Went on the middle super wide run where it’s real steep but also real wide, and with that fresh powder… WOW!!!

When they reopen after the storm today it’s going to be epic.

Yes! Just walk Callie to go to bathroom. Windy and Flying Snow! The snow plows are working hard and not many cars moving around out there. Got 20" of snow last night. It's getting heavier today, tonight and Sunday.

Wowza! And to think in MN we had 1 slight snowfall so far and temps are reaching high 60’s this weekend. Be safe and have fun skiing in all that fresh snow when you’re able to get out there.

Be safe!

There won't be any room left for water in the reservoirs when this melts.

I'm tempted to leave Michigan after church tomorrow and head that way. But probably won't make it with all the snow. By the way, nice watch and have fun!

That’s nuts. I suppose I know where all the snow has gone this year. We had an abnormally low amount of snow. Enjoy!

Mountain closed today. A lot less snow fall than was projected as of today.

Storm broke and the sun is out!

BLIZZARD was a blizzard. 38" of snow reported over the blizzard watch time period. Good dump but not what was projected.

Lower mountain open but everything else on Wind Delay.
