Were you looking at the 373 or 201? I went to my GS AD yesterday and they had both in the case. Hard to tell apart. Makes me wonder why they have both models. The 373 case looked a little smaller and more angular. Otherwise they were almost twins.

Yeah something like a 12 step process to do the champagne dial. It's probably the best looking champagne dial I've ever seen. There's so much more depth to it than you see in photos and it changes drastically in different lighting conditions. For the price it's a terrific watch.

My only complaints so far involve the well known and often discussed bracelet deficiencies. But if you got a good fit on that 375 this one should fit just fine. I'm sort of in between sizes. It was fitting tight so I had them remove a half link and add a full link. Now it fits a little loose (but still an improvement). I'm the poster child for the need for a micro adjustable bracelet

Yes Mike, the SBGA373 is the one I'm after. It would make a good set of spring drives for me. I played around with my links this past weekend. Ended up taking out 2 full links and added back 2 half links. Been wearing the SBGA375 Sunday and to work all this week. So far perfect fit. It's only loose at night when I'm sitting around watch TV for a couple of hours. Other than that it fits perfectly.

The link situation is pretty maddening. One day I'll get a good set of tools and start adding/removing links on my own but for now I need to go to the AD every time. Again not to belabor the point but any sort of micro adjustment would help drastically.

I looked at your quartz GMT yesterday too. Man that is a sharp looking watch. That dial is something else!

Thanks, Jeff.
Love that Blued second hand, good luck with your AD finding one for you.

Bang!! That is one heck of a watch, the dial is so clear and distinct, what is the model?

I’m just getting in to GS, recently tried on a SBGH201G, a couple of others, but yours is really something.

Thanks for the kind words Jack. I'm pretty happy with it myself. This is the SBGA001 which I believe was the first spring drive GS sold to the public. This exact model has been replaced by the SBGA201. As far as I know the only difference is they removed the "SEIKO" wording from the dial and repositioned the GS Grand Seiko logo and wording to the top half of the dial.

Here's a link to the current one. Another benefit of this watch is that it's one of the cheapest spring drive models they sell at $4,900

Well... I got it half right. I just ordered 4 different ones for mine. Sail and Leather. Can't wait to try them! You ARE the "STRAP MASTER"

BTW, do you use the quick release spring bars or do you change them out?

I use them, but sometimes you can see them. I'll post a pic in a sec so you see what I mean.
