My Rolex Collection

I have been collecting Rolex for more than 2 decades, all of a sudden I’m starting to loose appetite for Rolex.

Just bought it a brand new 5711 and I can’t stop wearing it everyday all day.

My Rolex Collection

Huge congratulations, maybe the crown feeling comes back, or maybe not.
Enjoy your PP.

That looks great. Must have been nice to find a brand new 5711. Pateks a slippery slope, I decided I needed a Patek last year and now have five. Haven’t bought any Rolex since and can’t imagine what Rolex I would possibly buy.

Such a nice watch .. I’d have Patek over Rolex any day of the week, I’m a big fan of the World Time ..

Congrats! and Looks great!

What are your thoughts on the weight of the 5711, I tried on a 5712 and was shocked how light these watches are!

It's not so much about the brand, it's whatever "sings to you," to use one of TRF's most used phrases.

That one is one heck of an operatic virtuoso. Congrats!

Congrats. I love my 5711 but can't see myself giving up Rolex.

I am in the same situation, only that for me it is AP.
I have reduced my Rolex collection and I am not looking to buy any.

As other have said, once we experience haute horology it is difficult to go back.

Same here - all the games have taken the enjoyment out of collecting. Focusing now on pieces that can be obtained via the secondary mkt without a substantial mark-up like APs.

congrats!! Looks really nice.

I'm new to the watch world and just got a Submariner and intrigued by other brands as well. Love this watch. If I may ask, is the process to buy PP (AD, waitlist etc) same as Rolex?

I have all the Rolex models I want and they haven’t put out anything in a few years that excite me.

I’ve actually gone the other way to less expensive brands. I’m excited by Tudor as of late and look forward to what the brands put out.

Amazing! I paired back my Rolex collection because my approach to the hobby and interest has evolved. And also toward PP. I’ll always keep Rolex but maybe just a select piece or three.

Used to have 5 Rolex, now down to one heavily used Explorer. Pretty much Patek and Breguet now.

The thin bracelet Nautilus especially (5711/5712) are among the most comfortable and pleasing watches to wear. Its refinement, elegance, casualness is in the details that become more and more visible on the long run. The dial's galvanization looks fantastic everytime you look at it and through every kind of lighting.

An incredible watch.

Enjoy it well!

After so many years, I still remember that sweet feeling when I put the 5711 on my wrist. Congrats again.

I have a 5711 and like it very much. After trying on a 5811 I much prefer its bracelet (ease of opening and adjustability) and wish it could be made available in SS for the 5711.

More and more watch enthusiasts loose the attraction to Rolex and I wonder why ?! How is Patek's watches accuracy and reliability in comparison with Rolex watches ?
