I bought my first Rolex in December 2015, a few months prior to my 65th birthday.

31 years old. 2003. New 16610 for $3950. I thought it was an obscene amount of money.

At 22 yoa. I am now 73 yoa. Paid around $100.00, maybe less in the PX in Saigon for a stainless steel DJ Date? Been a while and a lot of Rolex's since then.

Was 23. Bought a 16610 for $1250 new in 1986. Paid it off in 24 months at $55/month. Sure was proud of that watch!

33 - Started with Panerais first and worked my way into Rolex (getting the wife one spurred my interest in the brand).

Did you post a picture of it on /r/Rolex?

I only ask because another early 20's something posted on there that they also bought a TT GMT a few weeks back and I was wondering if TT is becoming more popular among the younger crowd.

Age 30. Bought a 116610 new from an AD. I always insist on getting them in the capsule, so I had to wait a month or two. Nice knowing that you're the first one to handle the watch though!

Bought at 34 and sold 6 months later as the best regulation that could be done in three tries was +20 sec/day.

55,
114060 Sub. I was never really into watches when I was younger.
I owned a few cheaper watches (Raymond Weil, Tag Heuer) but really started appreciating GOOD watches after I purchased that 1st Rolex and joined this amazing Forum.
