Bought a firesale used 116713LN when I was 19. Sold it off to a relative for a 10% profit a year later.

Jumped back into Rolex just 4 months ago, a full 8 years later (and 12 watches in between).

I was 32 when I bought my first Rolex, 16710 GMT II, and bought my second almost exactly 15 years later, No Date Ceramic Sub. Love them both.

My 4 year-old gave me my first for Fathers' Day. Does that count as buying my own? If so, I was 43.

Yes we bought one DJ26 white dial diamond with WG bezel on SS jubilé. That was back in 2009 or early10. All went smoothly, got 10% discount on price. I bought my SD40 in Tokyo, definitely less expensive than Manila. HK and Sing are also less exp. in Manila, many ADs in shopping malls, decent supply my wife was happy

I bought a1016 Explorer new in 1981, for £450, I was 26, added a new jubilee bracelet 4 years later for £85. Still wear the watch, with whatever bracelet takes my mood.
