Bought a firesale used 116713LN when I was 19. Sold it off to a relative for a 10% profit a year later.
Jumped back into Rolex just 4 months ago, a full 8 years later (and 12 watches in between). |

I was 32 when I bought my first Rolex, 16710 GMT II, and bought my second almost exactly 15 years later, No Date Ceramic Sub. Love them both.

My 4 year-old gave me my first for Fathers' Day. Does that count as buying my own? If so, I was 43.

Yes we bought one DJ26 white dial diamond with WG bezel on SS jubilé. That was back in 2009 or early10. All went smoothly, got 10% discount on price. I bought my SD40 in Tokyo, definitely less expensive than Manila. HK and Sing are also less exp. in Manila, many ADs in shopping malls, decent supply my wife was happy Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I bought a1016 Explorer new in 1981, for £450, I was 26, added a new jubilee bracelet 4 years later for £85. Still wear the watch, with whatever bracelet takes my mood.
