Icon1 Mare Nostrum 716 - hands on review

The 716 hasn't been seen much around here, so I thought I'd share this nicely written review with very nice photos:

Thanks for linking this review. I have to say, I agree with the reviewer on a couple of the points of criticism. Chronograph measuring indicators as well as price tag on the watch leave a bit to be desired. This watch definitely popped out to me when it was debuted. However, knowing more specifics now, it doesn't quite check all my boxes. Overall, good looking watch but not one I will personally pursue.

I had this on order but when the boutique called I passed. Over $10,000 seemed way too much and I've noticed other supposedly hard to get new Panerai that grey dealers wanted over msrp for sitting in AD windows.

Winner! This is a perfect example that you can never please everyone. Had they remade it with differences and a new movement people would've complained that it wasn't like the original. I think it's an absolute classic. Should it be cheaper??I would imagine the same could be said about any luxury watch .
