1920s W&D Rolex Wristlet

Hi everyone.

Always wanted to live the dream of owning a Rolex.....

Three weekends ago we purchased a non working 1920s W&D Rolex Wristlet from a deceased estate auction.

Two weekends ago took the watch to a horologist here in Victoria ( http://www.a1classicclocks.com.au/about.html ), Australia to see if the watch could be brought back to life.

The horologist stated that the watch was in a very poor condition, and had more than likely never seen a service in its' lifetime.

Today we picked her up.

She is alive and ticking....a revived Rolex who predates us by almost half a century....and who will be cherished for who she is....our dream come true.

Sorry the photos are not great, but we will endeavour to get a camera that takes nice, close up photos sometime next week.

For those that are interested, cost of the wristlet at auction was AUD 270.00, cost of repair/cleaning was AUD 300.00.
