Reassurance that this is fake

Hello everyone.

I'm remodeling my kitchen and took out an old cabinet and found a hidden box with a bunch of old jewelery in it and this "rolex" was with the items.

I did minor research and believe it's fake but some things stand out. I can't hear any ticking from the watch as its running, I cant hear gears when I wind it up. It's silent and heavy.

Imagine finding a watch in your house haha Please verify that this is a fake?

albiet there are reasons that members wont discuss what makes a fake a fake to aid counterfeiters in their quest for making better ones i can tell you this much.... Rolex dont make gold plated watches and that thing is poorly plated.... so thats the main giveaway that its 100% fake let lone all the other tell tale signs

It looks like it was spray-painted and that's just the beginning.

It's total mess.

The stamping on the caseback is just the beginning.. that doesn't even look like gold to say the least!

if you find a Rolex in a hidden box in a kitchen cabinet ...obviously it has been there for a minute - if the watch still running and hear the ticking... you probably got a fake.
A Rolex will not be able to be running in that box alone without being winded up
