I just secured a PAM164!

I just traded my Sub 16610 for a "J" PAM 164. I'm really excited. This is my first large watch purchase that hasn't been a Rolex. It'll probably be atleast a week before it arrives. I'll post pics when it gets here.

Jeff

Thats a nice watch!!! Congrats!

I really need a Panerai, used to hate them but they snuck up on me and lately have really grown to like them. Maybe start with a 104...

Cool! Hope you didn't order it from one of those Canal Street vendors.

Jeff, been looking at a Panerai. Do they date the watches in strictly alphabetical order ie would a J be the latest release ? And if so do you know when they change the letter code each year ? (or is it just random madness like Rolex ?????)
Congratulations on the new watch by the way.

About 1/2 way down there's a nice pic of a 164.
Brushed case & polished bezel. Love that dial.

Interesting that my 240 has *less* lume than my LV Sub!
The hands are about the same lume, but the dial printing is definitely less luminous than the LV.

Congrats, but I hope you don't regret selling the Sub. The Sub it a better everyday watch. I had Panerais, but they were 2nd and 3rd watches.

congrat! 164 is a beauty. What made you chose the 164 over the rest?
I am just wondering because I am eyeing 164, 113 and 88. And can't make any decision yet.

You guys are killing me with all these pictures of PAM's.........
I can only afford two decent watches, so I might have to do what Jeff has done.
Thinking of trading my GMT II for either a Pam 98 or my current fave a PAM 244 (that way I retain a bit of GMT-ness).
I know it's highly unlikely, but does anyone on TRF have both a GMT II Pepsi and a PAM 244 ? If so, a side by side picture would really give me something to think about !

The wait is killing me! I'm strap shopping tonight on Paneristi, so that's helping hold me over.
