ROO buckle placement?
Right guys please bear with this newbie and all my upcoming Q's
How do you guys prefer the tang buckle to sit? Mines currently more towards the 6 o'clock side, opposed to how I like my Rolex clasps to be central on the underside I'm unsure with the AP strap. Visually central would look better but then think I would push the excess strap further round and stick out a little on the 12 o'clock side, I'm also thinking due to the slight bulge of the strap it protects the buckle from desk marks! For reference strap is the standard length version and I had one slot tighter left spare. |

mine fits exactly the same and on the same hole as well, 2nd to last.
The buckle is where it should be IMHO as the first rubber strap holder thing (not sure what its called) hits my wrist dead center. That is what rests on surfaces when i put my arm down instead of the metal buckle so it helps to avoid scratches. It may be nice to have the strap the end without the buckle about 1 inch shorter so less of it goes out the other side of the wrist, but the strap with buckle is perfect. I have considered trying a short non buckle side strap and keeping the regular length buckle side one. |

Mine is the same. 1 slot left. Seems good to me although a short strap would probably be ideal. I don't care enough to buy one.

Thanks guys, I like it slightly to the left, I guess like above in an ideal world the XS strap on the 6 would leave less overhang.

For me, on the second to last slot on the regular strap, I would really only want it to be 1/2 inch shorter to be "perfect" as i just measured where i would want the strap to end. Any shorter and it would be too short. I think the short strap may be shorter than that. Better to have it slightly big than too small, or to get a custom one done. |

Tang buckle looks about right - I too prefer it not being dead centre. You may look at mixing up a short strap and standard strap to cut around 1cm off of the overhang

I had a small strap once and it was terrible without having the extra adjustment and sufficient strap under the keeper. As I haven't owned a novelty all I can say is my Diver and Tang ROOs were exactly like yours Brother!!
Looks perfect! |

I use an XS for the slot side and regular (longer) for the buckle side, which pretty much puts the buckle where yours is, which I think is both the most comfortable and visually pleasing.
