Maybe you can't believe it Lapince but it's the price, look it up. The price list your friend de66 posted recently has it at 220,000 chf and US prices are about 10% higher. At its introduction in 2015 HODINKEE reviewed it and stated the price was $249,000.

I also remember hearing that the US price for the 5370P is in the $240-$250K range. The 5204P started at $317K before the price decrease in early 2015, but is probably at ~$280K now.

My AD said there is no discount on 5370P.

Interesting, thanks, I remember the price being around 185K in euros, so that was effectively around 250k in dollars at the time, of course since then the euro fell steeply compared to the USD and even the Swiss franc, before you could get 1,5 francs for a euro, now it's one on one.
IMHO 250K for a split second chrono, no matter how great it is, is too much, would much prefer add a little cash and get a 5204, or a 5270 and another great watch...
