Ceramic No Date Sub with a 5513 Feel

Just got back my Submariner from Blaken. They customized the face and hands to look like a modern 5513.

I think they did a fantastic job. Very high quality.

Take a look!

Not bad.. is that a fake dial Blaken puts on the watch? I believe even hands will be fake then. Rest all is still good! If you like it.. its good!

No, original hands and face. They refinish and apply real gold, etc.

Don't send it to RSC if it needs service some day, go independent.

At first glance it reminded me of the colorway of the Black Bay 58, which I think looks great. Glad you were able to have your modern sub modded to the style you prefer. If Rolex made them this way out of the factory I think they’d sell like hotcakes. Enjoy your unique sub!

Not a fan but to each their own. I would have got a BB58 (which I own) and kept the Subc the way it was. I can’t imagine what’s happened to the value of that subc now.

Nothing wrong with a mod if that’s your thing. But why not just opt for an original 5513. They are fairly easy to source in descent condition and likely to hold its value better than a modded Watch meant to look like the 5513.

Looks like good work - did they colour the lume pearl to match? Looks like they did not, but can't really tell from the photo.

Purists won't be a fan, but I don't think it looks bad. It's your money and if you're happy that's what's important. But as others have said when it comes time for service look for an independent.

This is what this hobby is all about. Finding that watch that you love to wear. In your case, you made it. Congrats on being happy

As someone who also likes to mod things - Well done!

Thank you for having the balls to do this.

Now can you provide a link to their services?

Looks really nice!

I’d be open to trying something like that if I could have the original parts to swap back to.

Looks terrific. Definitely takes on that vintage 5513 look. Well done by them. I’m thinking this is a keeper, so who cares about value.

You ask for opinions so you will feel the heat from purists, but just brush those off and enjoy your beautiful Rolex!
