Not for me, but don’t hate it. Sounds nuts, but I feel like removing the crown guards would be cool!

Now you just need to have them “polish” the lugs down to half their size!

That was a terrible move in my opinion. Each to their own I suppose ...

Why get an homage to the 5513, just get the real deal.

Looks great! I really like the customization. I would like to do something similar, but with a white dial.

Actually this makes me curious about how a 114060 would look with the only modification being a 2 liner... I'd be very interested in that

Ceramic No Date Sub with a 5513 Feel

Reminds me of the Tempus. Have you thought about adding a chamfer?

Well done! I am a fan of getting the things you want they way you like.

I agree that Rolex should offer some options for customizing watches at an extra cost.

Well done. I rather like it. It’s nice to see someone regarding their watch as a form of enjoyment rather than as an investment.

Sitting here ready to express my dislike for OPs mod as it is definitely not my cup of tea. Then, I came across this pic which blew my mind. It looks amazing. So maybe OPs just wasn’t done well, or is missing something... Cause I would def rock the Tempus. Regardless, this is really cool.

I like to keep things stock for future resale value, especially for out of production stuff which this isn’t.

That said, mod away. I like the suggestions for thinning the lugs and chamfering the crown guards too.

Good luck!

Prefer the original 114060, the only thing I sort of don't like on the 114060 are the thick lugs and crown guards. shave a millimeter on each lug and trim the crown guards and it would truly be perfect.

I enjoy people that think outside the box. Great example, a kind of watch restomod in reverse.

Looks cool. If I had my 42mm EXPII I'd send it in to get all the orange changed to red.

Ceramic No Date Sub with a 5513 Feel

You know... in another thread I posted that you could take a stock Rolex gold dial from black TT or PM Sub and stock gold sub hands and almost get the same results (would have to be a Sub Date though). You wouldn’t have the same minutes track but it would be approximately the same without killing a SS dial...

No gilt minutes track or lettering. Definitely works better with the OP’s mod since I think it’s better to have the old style gilt minutes track and lettering.
