15450ST Wait Time Advice

I put a deposit down for the blue dial RO 37mm in December and was told I was 2nd on the list at the boutique near where I live and I'd have it by February. I went back in February and was told for sure by May. Called them yesterday and now was told I'm 5th on the list and to wait until the end of the year because they get one of these every 2-3 months.

What would you do in this situation? Is there anything I can do besides wait or remove my deposit (which I don't want to do)?

I am in the similar situation . I put a deposit in early December and was told it should be available within a few months time. I contact the boutique in march, I was told that they have not receive any , not even one . looks like it is a long wait for me.

I put a deposit for the 37mm steel blue back in October. The AD informed me back in February that they would only get 1 piece and they expect it August at the earliest.

How are you getting pushed down the list? Is it other customers with more purchase history bumping you down? Did they say at all...? Curious

No they didn't say. Originally when i put down my deposit they said they were only allowing 2 people to do so for 2019 on this model and I was the 2nd. The sales associate though has since left the company and so the new person I spoke with told me I was now 5th.

PM me if you like. I have a great relationship with my AP boutique and I’m pretty sure I can get this for you quickly.

Ouch - any estimate of when you're gonna get it from the AD?

Any luck on these lists for the 15450? Do you see them getting worse or better? I’m thinking dial choice definitely will make a difference.

Looks like AP is playing the same game as Patek and Rolex ADs. Hope you get it soon, OP.

Doesn’t sound like any AP boutique I have dealt with. I have never heard anyone mention lists. At the beginning of the year the pieces are allocated. At that time, if you get an allocation, you will be asked for a deposit. That means you will get one at some point that year.

Which boutique?

Same here. They do claim to maintain a "wish list" but with AP you either have a deposit down or you do not. I wish rolex and patek had this policy because it makes it much less murky.

And I like the term "wish list" lol that is exactly what rolex ADs are keeping but people seem to think it works like the line at the DMV.

I agree!

I find the AP waiting list process very logical and transparent (at least at the NY boutique).

Have you seen the other dial variations white, or silver be this tough too? Or is it more for the blue. Also, do they ever discount the SS models ? Can’t image they do w such demand.

The AP in Palazzo Las Vegas received 2 blue 15450st this month, got the text from my SA but need to bundle with another ROO. I passed, but maybe someone here would be interested. Kind of shady imo if there are others waiting with a deposit there, but such is the state of the industry at this time.

I ordered a 15451ST last month from my local AP Boutique. They said, I will get it on November. 6 months, not too bad. Didn't have to put down a deposit.

At least you are able to put a deposit down and be able to wait. Wish I were in that situation...

Tried the white AP 15450 on today. The 37MM really wears as a 37MM, good god that's a small watch (6/5incch wrist here). I am so glad I went to a grey to try it on first because it was a real turn off.

The 15500 wears like a 43MM on the other hand. Way too big for my Wrist.

that's disappointing to hear...would you say it wears smaller than a 5711/5712?

Not sure - only my first steps in the AP world so haven't tried the 5711/5712.

There will be a new 38MM AP - release should be somewhere around Q4 but with a MSRP 24,300 USD it's a little steep if you ask me.
