Rolex Sky-Rocket

I have recently developed an interest in vintage IWC Pilots' watches, so while browsing the 'Net tonight I came across some "for sale" listings of vintage Rolex Sky-Rocket watches. They are supposedly vintage 1942 aviators' watches for the Canadian aviators in WWII. This is the first I have heard of them, but they look pretty cool.

Anyone know anything about these watches?

The link is here. I hope this works:

Pay close attention to the size 29.5mm

I have purchased several older military watches, but found that the guys 70 years liked small watches.

That would be awesome if it were 39mm

I agree they are interesting watches with a great and exciting name, but the size for me has been a significant drawback at 29.5mm.

Size isn't everything!

I have quite a few 27-31mm watches. I also wear a 5513.

30mm

29mm

27mm

27mm

Nice Timepieces for sure. Even Vintage Longines, Hamilton, etc. Thanks for the link.
If you are able to try on a few smaller pieces at a Pawnshop, etc. you'll have a good idea if you like the smaller look on your wrist.
I have my grandad's 1942 Longine's, but at about 27mm, it looks out of place on my wrist.
That Sky Rocket and the Victoria above it are amazing! Good Luck...
