GS Hi-Beat GMTs from the "Four Seasons" collection (Spring and Summer)

On a recent business trip to Osaka I managed to get up close and personal with the new GS GMT "Four Seasons" collection (actually, just Spring and Summer are hi-beat, while Fall and Winter are spring drive), and *wow* - the dials are just mind blowing.

Spring in a lush green actually looked "organic" - the texture is almost as if there is living moss under the glass. The yellow gold GMT hand really shines above the lush green.

Maybe it's because I'm an Aquarius - but I was immediately drawn to the Summer model, with an absolutely stunning dial that looks like light hitting the surface of choppy blue ocean water. It's absolutely a contender with best GS dial of all time, sitting firmly with the snowflake, peacock, and Iwate dials in my honest opinion.

Given the enormous case dimensions of the recent "double sapphire" sport GMTs, I was relieved to see that these models are just 39.5mm, which seems just right.

Does anyone own either of these? Given the whole pandemic situation and the fact that I'm 100% work from home these days, I'm having a hard time justifying something that, at least for me, is more of a "dress watch" compared to what I usually wear. But man, if I don't get my hands on the new Explorer II by the end of the year, I might have to pull the trigger on the Summer model.

Highly recommend that any GS fan go check these babies out in the metal, definitely the most impressive dial work I've seen in a while! The Winter spring drive model is a serious looker online, but unfortunately neither Fall or Winter was available in store.

I recently purchased SBGJ241 limited and love the green and different textures the dial radiates in the sun and shade. the size is perfect and wears very comfortable. Good luck!

I wear mine daily, it’s dressy but not overly. Spring I think. I prefer with a Rolex band.

I just saw these as well and yes Summer is my favorite too.

I wish these were easier to see and source.

The GS is three times the watch. What are you waiting for?

Hi. I have my eye on the ‘Summer’ model as well. Does anybody know if a discount could be expected on these from an AD? I know boutiques no longer discount, or so they say.

I am relatively new to GS so not exactly sure what’s possible and what is not. The MSRP seems fair on these, but saving money is never a bad thing.

I just purchased the Shosho summer watch this past weekend. Stunning dial. Silver to violet to blue. White Birch like but horizontal and with GMT for a cheaper price. Did get 9 % disciunt

Was just at Horologico at the Venetian in LV yesterday - they just got a large shipment of GS and I was able to check out the GMT pictured above. The dial quality was simply amazing. Thank goodness it had the Arabic GMT scale or else I may have bought the bloody thing! They also had one of the hand wound limited editions - it was to die for. Suddenly my SBGA211 snowflake doesn’t seem like my last GS…

Thanks all! I did jump on the ShoSho and I honestly can’t get over how cool it is! I was able to get a ~10% discount as well, but I worked with somebody I do a lot of business with so I’m not sure if that’s to be expected or was just a recognition of past business. Hopefully it will at least encourage others to ask…Do not ask and you surely will not receive!

I’m looking forward to the Autumn ‘Kanro’ edition as well. I don’t believe it’s out yet but it looks similarly spectacular in photos!

Rolex def makes a better bracelet. Wish gs would add a micro adjustment.
