Unimportant questions of the day.

Why do some sportsmen (or anyone else) wear their baseball caps, back to front?

Is it just a badge of "dude-ship"?

Both of these for me. The 59fifty wool baseball caps are made by a company new era based in buffalo so I have worn more baseball caps than most would consider sensible. I never put them on in reverse but if I am working in a tight space or feel like my neck is getting roached I will turn it around.

Some young kids will just wear them whichever way they please as a fashion statement.

I don't wear hats all that often, but I've never worn a baseball cap with the bill forwards, for the same reason I'd never wear a hoodie. I don't like my vision blocked.

And as a photographer, the bill forwards is in the way of the camera. And in my Jeep the bill forwards can catch the wind and fly off.

If it bothers you to see someone with the hat backwards, just pull YOUR hat down over your eyes so you don't have to look at it. Stress relief can be so easy.

Which begs the questions I guess, why do people who aren't cowboys wear cowboy hats? Why do people buy long sleeve shirts and roll the sleeves up?

Why do people wear sandals with socks? Why do we call it indecent to be walking around in your underwear, but not bothered by bathing suits?

Life is a quandary.

Lol. I agree. I wear my ballcaps backwards often. Sometimes it just feels like the right position for the task or mood at hand. Between my attire, my vehicle, my scruffy face and my long hair and then add the backwards ballcap, I guess it just fits my IDGAF what you think of me personality.

The main question is why does a ballcap backwards or any thing else someone wears or does that doesn’t affect anyone but themselves bother some so badly?

I wear baseball hats often but stopped wearing them backwards probably around 35 or 40. It’s a young mans move.

I like hats, they just done suit/look right on me, I don't look very good in a Baseball cap with the peak forward, with it on backwards, one can see more of my face and that's even worse.

It has been stated already, so it doesn't block vision. I wear a hat 99% of the time but am not a hat backwards kinda guy; the only time I do it is on my boat, so it doesn't blow off. I won't lie, what really urks me is to see a sun visor being worn backwards

I'll turn my hat around if I'm racing go-karts with the kids...or if I'm arm wrestling (it's like flipping a switch).

All the under 40 crowd in my neighborhood wear them backwards. I think it's just a fashion statement because they all do it. Looks kinda silly to me, but what do I know...

I want them backward sometimes because they’re otherwise awkward with sunglasses.

(Deeeeeeep sigh) Yes.

Then again I was the first person in school to wear parachute pants (because my family was in the fashion industry so I got samples to wear seasons before they were available in stores).
