Excellent execution! Very thoughtful and purposeful way to invest in meaningful causes while promoting good conversation in the forum!

Good on you Mr. Goat from one Florida man to another

We regularly support Fight Ministries, while their mailing address in here in Central Fl they are a mission team in the Dominican Republic working to rescue and rehabilitate victims of human trafficking.

Lol, “Florida man” comes with a lot of connotations these days. Can’t say it too loudly or they may kick us both out of here!!

I appreciate the charity, have you ever done one of their missions?

The 5 pledges have been made (begrudgingly through paypal) if any of you that got an email from me about being pledged and it doesn’t show up please let me know and I will figure it out with Steve. Again, thank you so much to all on this great forum!! Please at least look at any one of the charities mentioned throughout this thread and see if it strikes your heart!!

I'm honored to have been selected.
Big thanks to our own Mr Goat for his generosity.
Most kind, sir.

Wow, does this sort of generosity happen around other watch platforms or just TRF?
That is kind of you and nature will definitely return the good deeds sooner or later.

Joel (Mr. Goat):

I’m really impressed (and touched) by how you’ve responded to somebody paying for your pledge. It’s the coolest example of “pay it forward” that I’ve seen in a long time. Bravo!

I have been the recipient of people paying for my entry in the giveaways on After Dark a couple of times, and certainly have paid for others 4-5 times, myself. Hell, It’s $35-70 or so... won’t break me, but it sure makes me feel good to make someone else smile!!

The main group with whom I do eye surgery in Mexico is
“Ligainternational.org”. Been going to the San Blas Clinic with Liga since 1994, and will screen 5 to 600 patients, and do cataract surgery on over 100 of them… in two days! We have a well-tuned machine, with no money wasted. (That’s probably because 90% of the funding comes from two other doctors and myself, to begin with!)

All of our trips have been temporarily canceled due to the Covid issue, but we’re planning on starting again early next year. Really miss these trips, and I’m itching to get back.

Thanks for letting me get to know you a little better, Joel.
(And I’m sorry we got off on the wrong track, on that other thread. Looks like it’s all working itself out, after all. ).

My vote would be for the DAV, Disabled American Veterans, of which I am one. The amount of help and the professionalism they displayed was… beyond words.

DAV.ORG
Great organization. We donate a substantial amount to them every year. Their local chapter does pickups so it's really convenient. Just last week we gave them 10 full bags of clothing and kid's toys.

Amazing gesture bro!

https://www.gofundme.com/f/help-for-...at-oxford-high

Idk if this would be a cause that would count, but tragedy struck close to home this week and 4 families are going to be spending the holidays without their kids as a result.

Hope all is well! And thanks for continuing a great gesture

I knew what goat stood for all along!

I would like to recommend: Fisher House Foundation

I had a very close friend seriously injured on our deployment who needed extensive specialized care at a facility far from our home station. This charity made it possible for his family to be with him. Great charity.

Oh dang man, didn’t even think about that being your area. Please extend my deepest sympathy and condolences if you’re close to any of the families.

Continuing this gesture is a small act to hopefully bring awareness to some great causes, that brings me great pleasure.

Hope you’re well too bro, thanks for the contribution!!

Hahahahahaha!! Thank you for the kind words but I assure you I’m not that GOAT!! Lol.

Fisher house is awesome!! Never thought of contributing as for some reason I thought they were funded through the VA.

Thanks for bringing them to my attention!! I wish your buddy continued wellness, as well as all suffering from visible or invisible wounds of war.

Thanks for the contribution, have a great day man!!
