Blancpain Fifty Fathoms Milspec 1 AM -- information requested
I'd like to learn more information on the original 1950s Fifty Fathoms Milspec AM variants. I can only find one example of these watches online (serial number AM 97, on an enthusiast site). Does anyone know how many were made, where a good resource is to learn more about them, and how they differ from non-AM Milspec 1 Blancpains? Any information would be helpful. I would like to get down a rabbit hole of research with these, but it looks like there isn't quite a hole yet.
There is very little information online about original Milspec 1 FFs, let alone the AM variants, so I thought I would check here and possibly start a dialogue and finally put some solid information out there on the web. Cheers. |

I think you'll get better help from watchprosite members, they have a bunch of vintage FFs.

Blancpain published some pamphlets showing early variations a few years ago in conjunction with a show they did of vintage FFs. Visit a boutique if you live near one and see if they still have any.
