Thank you for the kind comments. Absolutely, we'll have to get together when you're out here. I'm in the Bay Area all the time as well.

I have been wearing the No Date Sub for the last couple weeks, and just love the symmetry of the dial.

Icon20 No green warranty card or anchor...

I just bought my second Submariner (SS 14060M, no date), from an authorized dealer in Florida. When I asked for the warranty card I was told Rolex mails these direct to the home address, and anchors are no longer included with no date models.

Three weeks later, no warranty card in the post.

Am I right to begin feeling nervous....

Your dealer should have stamped the warranty card and given it to you with your booklet/manual. And that is correct, the anchor no longer comes with the watch.

Welcome to the forums!

IMO Rolex have little or no involvement direct with the buyer. I think the AD has given you some bs. There have been some AD's in the States mainly (where it seems you can return a Rolex because you ummmm changed you mind - or something) who do delay the filling in of paperwork until after some sort of cooling off period.

Mr Bond,

As the others have said, you are in some doo-doo here. You should have been given the card, with your name written on it and the AD's name written or stamped on it.

Still, it is not yet time to panic. Call the AD and find out what's going on. If he tells you that Rolex will send you the card, then that is the time to panic, because wtches are sold with cards.

Good luck, sir.

Mark

P.S. I loved you in "Dr No."

It makes me happy as well. Lovely watch, easy to read, handsome on the wrist without arm wrestling the wearer for attention. Am I biased?

So I went to the dealer this morning. The story had changed from 'Rolex sends out warranty cards' to 'actually I meant our corporate office sends out the cards'. I told him I was happy with the watch, but wasn't happy without the card. To cut a long story short, the manager said impossible, and - to their credit - offered a full refund, which I took.
Anyone got a 14060M for sale? I'm in Florida, travel with US and to EU fairly frequently...

Good to hear they refunded your money. Check the For Sale section. I see two of them for sale.

The SUB ND 14060M is a classic and has a long storied history and pedigree. I myself just bought one on Thursday and love its 'LOOK'. I'm very happy to be a proud owner, the only problem I see is finding enough wrist wearing time because my GMT-II PEPSI will get jealous!!!

i think you should have stated the inner bezel ring and COSC on dial if thats what u wanted.. now ur stuck, because i think a return based on you not stating something correctly is wrong to the AD...

No Date Submariner

I've got a D Series 14060M and would never swap it for the latest version with COSC and RRR in the inner bezel.

The clean look of my 14060M is one of the most pleasing and attractive aspects of it in my opinion.

The 3031 movement is the same as the latest yet I have the old world looks and clean appearance of the old originals which I prefer.

Be happy with your No COSC 14060M, it's a true classic!

Kind regards

Chris in Melbourne

Now I am really Happy

I have a 14060m - Z serial coming to the office tomorrow - just bought it from LawrenceB. I know I wont sleep much tonight! It is great to hear from some "high post" experts that they think this could be a highly sought after model.
I bought it mainly because it is an iconic, classic look that represents a bygone era...

I absolutely love my 14060M M serial. What an awesome looking watch and historical. COSC, engraved rehaut ,or not....these are true Rolex to me. As said above...very iconic. Love em!

Hi Serenity!!
You´ve got a great watch which follows the heritage of first Rolex divers watches of yesterday.

I bought my 14060m model a couple of months ago. I got it with the rehaut and COSC inscription.

I was looking for the previous model 14060m, without the COSC inscription under the Submariner brand and depth rating, because I like more its uncluttered dial, reminiscent of the old model 5513 of which this watch is a descendant.
I find the non inscription dial like you got, is more classic.

Unfortunately, nowadays here in Argentina it is not possible to get one in unused condition, so buying a brand new from an AD all I could get was a "Z" series COSC watch.
I´m very happy with it anyway, but would be happier with the non COSC.

As you see, it all depends about your personal tastes, and your expectations about what could or could be not a better choice in the future collector status of this particular type.

Enjoy your Great Watch!!
Kind regards, Abel

I am wearing my 14060M as I type. It was purchased in Tokyo from a Grey dealer (Big group) just 3 months ago. The watch was sold by Rolex Indonesia about a week before I purchased it in Japan.

The grey dealers buy from HK, Sing and Indonesia as they are much cheaper than the offical Rolex prices in Japan.

I just checked and it has the Rolex etching just under the bezel

The Serial No. is V041xxxx

To be fair to the AD, these watches could sit on the shelf for some time before they are sold.

There is nothing wrong with a Z. Enjoy the watch. Its a real beauty.
