Sd 43

I want a SD 43, but don’t want to pay a significant premium, a little fine. If any of you know where I can locate a new one I would be grateful. Send me a private. Cheers Tommy Midnite!

Check the classifieds section here on TRF, I’ve seen a couple that folks have been trying to sell.

This is a dangerous thread for me to be poking around in. Great watches gents.

Can anyone comment on how the 43mm size wears compared to the 42mm Explorer II?

the size isn’t the major difference, although it’s certainly there.

the WEIGHT is the major difference in feel. the 216570 wears closer to the wrist as well. i love both pieces and am glad to own them. overall i feel the Ex2 gets more wrist time as it easily fits under a glove (i spend a lot of time in the snow), but some days i just NEED that big ass SD43 on my wrist. it is a very commanding watch, with a TON of presence.

Great answer Jonathan! I certainly don't mind a heavier watch. The Explorer II is my go to watch because it's so darn comfortable. The SD43 is definitely on my radar. Crazy how small the Sub looks next to it in the picture above.

The cyclops is part of the watch. The cyclops is Rolex. Personally, I think it's great on the SD50.

I would agree. I love the added cyclops. This is personally one of my favorite watches.
