Thank you to everyone that has bought the book; The Return Journey!

I am truly humbled; as would my wife...

If you like it - be great if you could review it on line where you got it from...

Once again many thanks; it means so much!
Best Steve

What an amazing story

From how the thread started to the stories of all the expeditions.

Just Rolex at its best.

Steve needs little to no help in this thread; it's been well executed. I just have a hard time tolerating lazyness.

This thread is the reason I purchased an Exp II black dial and one of the reasons I still own it. The other reason is that it's a great no nonsense watch!!!

Now if there was a way to get the author to sign it. Steve, you need to do a book signing tour.

Book signing expedition!

Steve, thanks so much for sharing your journey with us. It’s provided an opportunity to consider what’s important in this life and I am grateful for the opportunity.

Thank you; watches are nice things to have. Whilst this thread was taking shape Kathryn and i would sit on the sofa in amazement at all the comments.

Kathryn wasnt really into watches; but she did enjoy this thread!

So, the watches are not important in themselves. But they are important for that can represent. A memory, a moment in time. And they keep ticking, so the memory lives on.....

Arrived a couple days early...just need to resist the temptation to read before I go on vacation in 3 weeks.

I thought a shot of my 116610 was fitting.

On a side note there is a series with Sir Ranulph Fiennes who wrote the forward to the book on nat geo that he did with his cousin Joseph Fiennes in egypt. Never knew who that guy was until last week.

Fantastic thread.true relationship and trust between man and his trusty watch.finally I get the real meaning of what it means to own and use a " tool " watch which can stand up to the harsh environment.perfect cooperation between man and machine.thanks again Steve for giving us and insight into your explorations and how the watch can assist us to co exist with the life and death reality of an unforgiving harsh environment.good health to you.
