The pictures above look good/okay. Not something I would buy but I think there was a lot of unfair criticism when they were released.

Yes, it was unfair. One thing I learned very early on is that it’s a lot easier to criticize an original design or idea than it is to actually come up with or produce something original. So I tend to give new ideas/designs the benefit of the doubt or time to sink in before reacting with judgement |

I need to give it some more time, but as of now when I see it I think it looks cheap.

I’m not a fan of the size or location of the date window or the numerals. This watch has an amazing body with a butterface.

I have some fleeting interest about the Perpetual Calendar and that's about it. So far, I only read about one incoming and that's in another watch forum.

Take off the AP logo from the dial then ask would you buy it? Especially for that price?

These are terrible looking watches. Let's be honest, AP should be ashamed to put their revered logo on these references.

I am really trying but none of the pictures make the 1159 worth spending over $25K! Like the AP CEO says, perhaps the clientele are 19 year olds that are asking daddy to buy them. The case does look beautiful and if only it came in 39mm a la 15202.

I tried one on last week. I didn't even bother posting the pics on here. It didn't change my mind in person and I doubt it would change anyone's mind with pics on the forums. The biggest turnoff however was the sales lady, pushing the watch on me. Highlighting the "features" etc... It kinda turned me off even more. They seem desperate. Somehow, they didn't get any 15500 yet (including mine) but got the 3 pcs of CODE already.

I'm of the opinion that those that are detail oriented will appreciate the Code the most. I had a chance to look at it a few times at this point and I'm a fan. The only thing currently hindering me from actually pulling the trigger is the fact that I'm allergic to leather and unable to wear it without getting hives. Ultimately, it is a quality piece and I'd pick it over many of the others that it's being compared to.

Nope, not growing on me either. Sorry to pile on. That chrono and the white dial ones are the worst of a bad lot - they look like they belong in a display case at Nordstrom next to the Michael Kors watches.
The perpetual is quite nice, and I think if the Code 11:59 was only that model they would have gotten a lot less hate. |

Wow. Haha, I guess I’m in the minority on this one! As much as it might be a well made piece though, I wouldn’t pull the trigger on any of these at msrp.

Can’t even say I’m a fan of the PC. The full starry night dial is too much and the dial looks out of proportion to the case.

As someone posted on IG “it costs too
much to look this cheap”. Again, take the AP badging off and it’s dead. Has anyone seen the ads for this reference? Weird. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Yes, exactly. If I had to spend some money for a PC, I'd look to get a Patek or even a Vacheron. I'd only get this Code11.59 PC when they give a 40% discount. |

Ironically I would still get an AP just the RO PC in blue dial

AP UK are holding a Code launch event at the Tate Modern very soon. I think i'm going to go along and see the watches again. Not to mention get a nice meal/wine in! Should be a good event.
