How comfortable is the platinum roo

For those of you who own a platinum royal oak offshore in full platinum how comfortable is it. Do you find it to be a good daily beater. Is the heft a good feeling of bliss or is it awkward and uncomfortable especially after wearing it for prolonged periods of time.

Dude, you need to make a decision. Countless polls of strangers is not going to answer the question for you. But seriously, do you really think a full platinum roo is going to be a comfortable daily wear beater? Just go try on some pieces and make a decision.

Although the above comment is funny and right on the money, I wear my platinum 44 virtually everyday and I find it super comfortable but I think that’s partly due to the rubber strap. The comfort factor is also down to how loose you wear the watch, I wear mine relatively tight and it doesn’t move around at all on my wrist and it actually doesn’t feel heavy at all.

I don't know what your complaining about. Not making decisions based on you lmao. You are not the one buying a $122K watch. Stop worrying about what I am doing and don't post on my threads if you have a problem.

I’m wearing mine right now. I wear it as a daily beater. Add the blue croc strap to dress it up.

Awesome! So you have the blue dial. Congrats!
It would be nice to see a pic.

Any chance you can buy one and agree with the AD that you return it within 48 hrs if you can't get used to the weight, if its in perfect condition.

Probably not. I think all sales are final.

As this is very heavy, over 300g I presume, I thought they might give you a bit of leeway, if not then I'd just try it on a few times and see if each time it feels easier, then make a calculated choice.

He is talking full platinum bracelet. Much different than the 44 on a strap.

Complaining about all your ridiculous threads. If you have 122k you have enough to go see one in person.

I responded to your PM asking the same question. I wouldn’t wear mine daily but I love the heft.

Thank you to those of you that participated in the thread. I appreciate your feedback. No post is ridiculous, its the people that complain that are ridiculous.

Platinum is a softer metal and easily scratched. I personally do not like these on a bracelet unless you just want to wear for special occasions.

Maybe I’m talking about the wrong watch. I am wearing the platinum ROO on strap that was recently discontinued, 26401. Definitely wasn’t $122k

My experience with the watch is that it doesn’t scratch easily, are you comparing it to steel or something else? Having owned steel, gold and platinum AP Offshores I’d say that the platinum is without question the most resistant to scratches.

This should have been directed at me, not Ash. And the reason I finally responded, and its the only time I have responded to one of his threads, is because it gets tiring to see a new poll or this vs that comparison every day by the same person who, as best I can tell, has never actually pulled the trigger on anything. At some point you need to S or get off the pot. If you can spend 122K on a watch you should put on your big boy pants and make a decision. The whole thing feels like one extended troll job. If I actually thought he was serious I would have never responded the way I did.

The ROO full metal bracelet is the most comfortable bracelet out there due to its width and thickness when fitted properly, and the worst there is if you wear the bracelet loose.

I suggest trying a semi snug fit (that is what works for me), to get this you open your palms towards you and spread out all five fingers as far as you can, this is the position where your wrist is the largest and the watch should fit tight in this position. Then make a tight fist to get the smallest size for your wrist; in this position you should have some wiggle room. Adjust based upon comfort between these two sizes (open hand stretched fingers for largest / closed fist for smallest).

Alternatively a rubber strap work 100%

Just because you are comparing something its not always to buy. Thats just your assumption. Its non of your business what people buy or don't buy. I don't post what I buy and don't buy. And you don't know what I buy or don't buy. Take care, don't post on my threads. No more negativity from you.

Based on your old threads, you already own a solid gold RO chrono. Doesn't that piece give you an idea of what you'd be dealing with?

I would have thought Pt significantly more weighty?

It is heavier but it's close enough to get an idea; considering he already owns one. Basing it off how the gold feels to him is more usable info than what random people here think about it.

How does knowing how I feel about a plat watch weight help him decide on his own purchase?

I’ve tried on the full platinum offshore in Harrods and it is really very heavy, to the point where I could imagine it not being very comfortable to wear. I imagine that the fit of the bracelet will determine the comfort level. I personally wouldn’t have this as my everyday watch due to the weight. The weight of my platinum 44 is perfect for me.
