That specific IWC reference reminds me of my first Swatch in 1983.

You can not go wrong with the Rolex but if you want a little diversity in the collection I would go with the Omega. You will have almost enough money left over to buy a classic Omega Speed Master. Two for one. It is was me, I would get two Omega's and pick up a few leather straps and NATO's and have some fun.

Tough choice between AT and MilZ. The Rolex seems more special on the wrist to me, while the AT does have a date and a cool movement in the 41mm case. I’d probably go w the MilZ if forced to choose and $ wasn’t an issue . One more blue dialed , obtainable Rolex to consider IMO Is the blue dialed plat YM- a little more expensive than the Milgauss but I think the blue dial is more attractive , and
The watch wears smaller and more comfortably than the above two on the wrist IMO. Of course I’m biased .... here’s mine on a blue rubber B

I vote AT - it's one of the best GADA pieces out there and the movement is awesome

I hope people stop buying the z blue. Because one day in the near to intermediate future I would like one and I hope I’m not having to sit on a long waitlist lol.

Z blue gets my vote here in a landslide.

I own both, still have the milgauss but I feel the aqua terra I let go, is the better watch. The brushed bracelet is quality and 38.5mm size fits really well/more versatile.

I love my milgauss, but if $ is issue get the omega, it’s 2nd best. IWC is boring to me.

I have both and they are similar watches .. I put my AT on a Rubber Strap to enhance the "Aqua" part and distinguish it from my Milgauss.

I'd try to find an Omega Aqua Terra Skyfall (38.5mm) if I were you.

Two very nice watches that could never tempt me away from a Milgauss.

The IWC for $5K?

Nope, not considering what is inside it.

I would choose either of the other two, no preference here.

Thanks guys for the great feedback.

Looks like no one likes the IWC. Great brand but I agree this model doesn’t look the part.

I love the YM but not the cyclops and the price.

On my wrist the AT feels better and I’d have $3K left over for the next acquisition

But something about a Rolex....

If you have an itch for a Rolex, then best to scratch it once and for all.

If you settle for something cheaper in order to save money, you might end up spending even more because the itch hasn't been scratched at the start.

Speaking as a GV owner myself.
