I like every Rolex I have, otherwise I wouldn't have purchased them. The most hyped and complimented Rolex I have is the White 116500 and found it to be much ado about nothing.

Out of interest is it a pepsi you’ve got as the bezel is definitely different on the pepsi

Have you ever been disappointed by a Rolex?

I want to love the DJ, but agree the DJ proportions are a wee bit out of whack, for both the DJII and the new DJ41. The 36 has great proportions but wears just a little too small for me on a 7.5” wrist. A 39mm DJ would kill it.

Not disappointed but my Milgauss wasn’t any more special than any other high end brand I owned. I love the look and the movement.

I waned a new Explorer polar dial so badly until I tried one on. I abhor the new maxi cases, they are so incredibly thick. Honestly the old Submariner and Explorer cases where much nicer than the new ones.

I do not like the DJ 2 or dd with the thick bezel either. I was hot on the blue azzuro dial and am glad I held off.

Yes, but only due to my own ignorance. I bought an air king through a TS, didn’t realize the size or the fact it had hollow center links. Before learning more I misinterpreted the bracelet as cheap. Oh how times have changed. Love that I’ve learned more about the brand and history.

Been wearing Rolex daily for 15 years. The only disappointment was a blemish in a ceramic bezel, which RSC replaced on warranty. Otherwise, my experience with the brand has been awesome.

No way! Growing up poor and now owning several Rolex and a handful of other expensive Swiss watches, I would not see me complaining!!! Oh, that’s America! Awesome! But now I can enjoy all my Swiss friends , but no Rolex has never disappointed at all.

I was disappointed by my DSSD, the first Rolex watch I ever owned. But that's on me. I bought it sight unseen and found that when it was on my wrist I didn't care for it. Face too small and watch too thick for it's overall size. Geometry was all wrong for me.

Yes, when they don't know what they want...

So back in the day, you would put the gasket on the crystal and press the bezel over it.
They changed it to a shitty system where you need to put the gasket on the crystal, then use a vacuum pump to hold it and press it into a retainer ring and then onto the case.
The whole damn vacuum thing is the most bothersome piece of shitty engineering ever. Rolex ffs why

And now they went back to the old system, but not on every model.

YM2 was a disappointment to me. Amazing looking watch, great proportions. Just found it to be over priced with a (super cool) but totally useless function.

Yeah for sure. My wife’s OP was making a grinding sensation when winding it. This was only a few weeks into ownership bought new from a boutique. The worst part was having to send the watch to rsc with usps. They should take FedEx it’s ridiculous!

Disappointment is based on expectations met!
As long as one had the right expectations, with a brand like Rolex is doubt a lot would be disappointed

Keeping time or minor imperfections are bound to happen but that’s what the 5 year warranty is for!

I got into the rolex game about 4 years ago and my first rolex was the current ceramic submariner. After seeing pictures online and threads about the proportions of the 14060 I bought one, and as soon as I received the 14060M I was disappointed. The finicky bracelet felt so cheap and inferior to the current version that I sold the 14060 the following week. I have now 3 Rolex and all are newer models.

Disappointed that my three week old OP already had to be sent to the RSC for a crown issue.

I was disappointed with my 116000 at +11secs/day. I guess the Black face Daytona didn't really thrill me. The Sky Blue and the Sub C were both too large for me. Other than that, no. Not surprisingly buying the 116506 and finding I really can live with a watch without a date was a pleasant surprise.

I had the same observation with my 114060 bought new from an AD. It was just a hair off from 12 but I didn't notice when I bought it. I learned to live with it and it doesn't bother me anymore but it is a reminder that Rolex is far from perfect.

It's amusing as my Seiko and Omega bezels are dead center at 12.

My white 500c Daytona was probably the most disappointing product I have ever purchased. Took me 1 year to find an AD that would even talk to me about and another year to get it. Two year hunt and it is the illegible timepiece I have ever owned. Such a let down.

The unwillingness of Rolex to change a dial or bracelet is a serious disappointment and epic fail on their part.

I have been disappointed by Rolex watches before and my last disappointment was with the DSSD JC. I had owned a DSSD before but had forgotten how heavy and out of proportion the watch was to me. It arrived, I could not get it sized to my tastes and off it went. I was also underwhelmed by my Platinum Daytona with the diamond dial. Beautiful watch but for what I had in it, I thought it should have been more special, to me. In the end, I found the brown bezel not to my liking and as always the Daytona's are on the small side for me. If the bezel had of been black it might have stayed.

My 116520 from 2014 just stops and starts. Off to Rolex now for a full service but really after only 5 year issues? However, I must admit this is the first time any Rolex of mine has had an issue.

Other brands are part of the reason I had such high expectations to start with.
